Tradition says that gold, frankincense and myrrh were the gifts that the Three Wise Men brought to the newborn baby Jesus. These gifts are well known to everyone, but history hides many other less popular facts.

Turiart has prepared this visit to the Monastery of San Miguel de los Reyes de Valencia in which we will discover anecdotes, secrets and legends about Their Majesties of the East and other illustrious monarchs of the West. The corridors and rooms of this important Renaissance monument will transport us to medieval times so that the whole family can enjoy a most Christmassy activity. It is the perfect setting to play and learn about all the characters who left their mark on the walls of this century-old building.

The Monastery, which today is the headquarters of the Valencian Library, is closely linked to the tradition of the Three Wise Men. Did you know that they are represented on the main façade? Or that gold, incense and myrrh appear on the main altar of your church?

In addition, all children will be able to participate in the Turiart Good Wishes Letter Contest. To do so, they must bring a letter of good intentions for the next year, handwritten and in the form of poetry. The three most creative and supportive letters will receive a prize signed by one of their royal highnesses: Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar.
