València Art & Design Walks (Tour in English)

València emerges as an epicenter of art and design after its designation in 2022 as "World Design Capital" and, in 2023, as "City of Design" by UNESCO. And it is from there that Turiart launches an unique and avant-garde cultural experience hand in hand with LAVAC (Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of the Valencian Community) with the collaboration of the Fundació del Disseny of the Valencian Community, and the advice of José Luis Pérez Pont (Art Critic).

With the aim of inviting residents and visitors to explore the city from a different perspective, "València Art & Design Walks" is created as an innovative proposal of tourist routes that combines Contemporary Art, Vanguard Architecture and Design through the lesser-known but equally captivating spots of Valencia.

"València Art & Design Walks" is a new cultural leisure proposal open to the public that seeks to know València from a different and vanguardist perspective. The aim of these routes is to offer Art and Design walks through the streets and contemporary art galleries of the city, led by artistic interpreters passionate about transmitting the creative essence of València. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive meetings with local artists and creators, immersing the visitors in the contemporary Valencian culture.

What do we offer?

• Guided tours: the tours, conducted by specialized artistic interpreters, will last 2 hours, scheduled for Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. They will be explained in Spanish and/or English, with the intention of expanding the offer to other languages in the future.
• Discovering urban art and some of the best contemporary art galleries in Valencia with expert guides in art and design.
• Meetings with artists: learning about the Valencian creative world with exclusive dialogues with local artists and creators.
• Special Gift: the route will include a quality design Valencian product (e.g. a tasting session, a local gourmet product or an object) to complete the artistic experience.

What do we visit?

• Art galleries: Some of the most representative of the Valencian contemporary art scene, such as Galería Cuatro, Galería Benlliure, Alba Cabrera, Ana Serratosa, House of Chappaz, Set Espai D'Art, Vangar and Luis Adelantado.
• Design spaces: selected by the Design Foundation from among those premises, shops or restaurants whose design is particularly outstanding, such as the Espai Guastavino of the CTAV, the Colón Market, the Jardín de las Espérides, Gnomo Ruzafa or Pelayo Gastro Trinquet.

Each of the visits will be unique in its configuration so that the experience will be different every time.
