The Ruzafa neighborhood, located in the Ensanche, has become the fashionable place where everyone wants to be<\/strong>, in \"Valencian Soho\". The attractive cultural kaleidoscope that permeates its streets captivates locals, tourists, students, and artists. Turiart's \"The colors of Ruzafa\"<\/strong> route invites us to get to know this part of the city, far from the more traditional tourist resources of Valencia, from the perspective of sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Led by an official guide, an expert in the memories of the neighborhood<\/strong>, we will walk through the history, urban geography, and emblematic settings of Ruzafa. We will be revealing these colors that make up the neighbourhood, learning about its Arab origin as a playground and its past as an independent municipality, working-class neighbourhood, triple-session cinema neighborhood and marginal and immigrant neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

The itinerary also deals with its present as a renovated and cosmopolitan neighborhood and as a museum of urban art<\/strong>. We will talk about the effects of gentrification and \"tourism\", the Central Park project and the challenges and neighborhood movements. We will walk through its streets in the refreshing summer sunset<\/strong>, enjoying its architecture in pastel colors, knowing anecdotes about the neighborhood and its neighbors or the importance of its Fallas. Nor will we forget some of the most interesting gastronomic proposals in the city<\/strong>, nourished by the Ruzafa Market, the true heart of the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>This route is part of \"Valencia neighborhood by neighborhood<\/strong>\", a program in collaboration with the Alter Eco project, which seeks to bring us closer to the neighborhoods of Valencia from a sustainable perspective, interpreting them, but respecting their idiosyncrasies and the way of life of their inhabitants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We will finish just at the time when the neighborhood comes alive and its terraces begin to fill up<\/strong>, the perfect time to be able to experience what was discussed on the route and enjoy a bar, a restaurant, or an exhibition.<\/p>\n
