TURIART: Valencian Community Tourism Awards for the "Tourist trajectory".
The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) has published on September the 20th, the outcomes of the concession of the "Premis Turisme" that the jury has granted in its edition corresponding to 2021 in each of the modalities called.
‘Premis Turisme Comunitat Valenciana’ are awards that aim to recognize people, entities and institutions that during the year have stood out for their work in favor of tourism in the Region.
The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, will preside over the awards ceremony that will take place on October the 4th at the Palau de la Generalitat.
In this edition, the credit has gone to those companies and entities that from their tourism specialization (promotion, promotion of sustainable tourism, inclusive, etc.) have contributed to the recovery of tourism activity in the Valencian Community, after the crisis caused by COVID-19.
In the 2021 edition, the award for the "tourist trajectory" has been awarded to Turiart. This category recognizes the effort and dedication over the years in the development of business initiatives or dynamization of tourist products or tourist destinations of the Valencian Community, such as the development of their profession or activity through an active and participatory participation within their companies, in favour of tourism.
The Award for "tourism training, research and innovation" has been assigned to the Cooperativa Viver. This modality is granted to those who in 2021 have developed innovative-based projects that lead to an increase in the competitiveness of the tourism sector of the Valencian Community.
The recognition ‘To the promotion and communication of tourism’ has been granted ex aequo to the City Council of Cullera and Castelló Ruta del Sabor. This modality recognizes novel tourism communication actions or campaigns, both from the scope of the tourism company and the destinations, provided that they have led to a clear improvement of their position in the markets through promotional activities that affect their differential values and increase the flow of tourists.
In the 'sustainable tourism' category, the Parc Natural Valltorta Gasulla has been recognized. This category recognizes people who in 2021 have contributed significantly to develop the sustainability of economic growth, job creation and poverty reduction, efficient use of resources and environmental protection; as well as the promotion of cultural values and heritage diversity.
In addition, the Foundation CV Marq has been awarded in this edition in the category of ‘inclusive tourism’. This category recognizes those people who in 2021 have contributed significantly to improving accessibility in all components of the tourism sector.
The initiatives that develop the Code of Ethics of Valencian Tourism are also valued, implementing actions of corporate or corporate social responsibility.
Furthermore, this edition of Valencian Community Tourism Awards grants a special mention for its important work in the field of training to the Fundación Comunitat Valenciana Cañada Blanch. This entity promotes cultural tourism through the training of agents who act in the planning, management and promotion of this product.
A special mention has also been awarded to Dolores Salvador, for her contribution to improving the quality of the Valencian gastronomic tourism product and to Juan Antonio Calabuig, for his contribution, from journalism, to the diffusion of the tourist story of the Valencian Community.
Finally, it should be noted that these awards are exclusively honorary, so they do not entail any economic benefit.
