Valencia, February 2022.- On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Berlanga, they presented the exhibition “Berlanguiano. Luis García Berlanga (1921-2021)”.
This exhibition is a tribute to the career of Luis García de Berlanga in the cinematographic world. The exhibition about Berlanga wasin Madrid and Seville and currently, we can find it already installed in the city of Valencia, province of birth of Luis García Berlanga, in the Centro de Artes Bombas Gens. We find it exposed after coinciding with the celebration of the Spanish film festival Los Goya in Valencia. The exhibition is curated by Esperanza García Claver.
Turiart will start doing guided tours to this exhibition for those who are interested in the career and life path of Luis Garcia de Berlanga. In the exhibition, we can find an installation of twelve screens where the guide will explain curiosities and information
about the audiovisual material that we can find exhibited of his films, as well as posters, original scripts of some of his posters, original scripts of some of his most emblematic film titles, shooting plans and photographs. At the same time, we will find
exposed moments of native Spanish life that were interpreted and portrayed by famous national and international photographers. This visit gives us the opportunity to know and learn from a more visual and special way the figure of the filmmaker, who has been one of the most important authors of the XX century of the culture of Spain, as well as his personal biography, since his life and his personal anecdotes have been closely linked to his cinematographic creation.
Guided tours will be available from 4th March to 12th June and the visiting hours of the exhibition are from Wednesday to Sunday, from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm. For the welcome and presentation guided tour of the Centre, it is proposed to make groups of visitors of a maximum of 20 people. You can make guided tours for the Berlanga exhibition only or jointly to discover the Centre of Art Bombas Gens. Guided tours will be available in Spanish, Valencian and English. On request, these services could be offered in French, Italian or German.
The exhibition is organised by the Film Academy (Academia de Cine) and has been carried out thanks to the collaboration of the of the Foundation Per Amor a l’Art - Bombas Gens (FPAA), Visit València, Valencia City Council, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, Ministry of Culture and Sports and València Turisme.
