The silkworm Valentín- silk tour and activity for the whole family

Valentín, very curious but at the same time hard-working worm, will start the tour by showing us his house, The College of High Silk Art, and then through different games and activities, he will tell us how his life cycle looks like.
We will begin with entering the College of High Silk, above-mentioned Valentín´s house, where we will discover the story of the Valencian silk and the process of transforming threads into the fabric.
After visiting the museum, we will go to the Cultural Park (Park which belongs to the Public Library of Valencia), where for one hour and a half we will be playing different games and doing many new activities. Thanks to them, we are going to be taken to the life cycle of a silkworm.
Eggs, larvae, gluttonous caterpillars, and the beautiful, happy butterfly at the end… 5 stages with 5 different types of activities which are going to make this Sunday morning, a real, cultural competition between teams in order to discover the importance of worms in the production of Valencian silk.
Come and learn, play, sing, laugh, jump, crawl and crouch down… be the fastest one and reach the finish line before your friends do it in order to win a prize.
***We make only a partial tour of the College of High Silk Art, which consists of a visit to two rooms: the exhibition in the basement and the looms.

Una actividad muy interesante y divertida para los niños, y sus padres o acompañantes. Alicia, nuestra guía fue muy profesional y agradable.
Sin embargo, nos parece un precio muy elevado el cobrado al adulto, pues la actividad va dirigida principalmente a los niños. Adoptamos dos gusanos de seda y pronto han hecho su crisálida y la niña está súper ilusionada...
La visita al telar del museo de la seda sí es interesante también para un adulto pero, una vez allí, debería incluir también la visita al resto del museo (por la diferencia de precio entre el total y el pagado por ver el telar).

Desgraciadamente, la visita al telar no es barata y por eso dividimos las opciones, porque entendemos que algunos adultos prefieren esperar fuera. Soy la mama de Neus una niña de 3 años, pasamos una tarde fantastica gracias a Noelia, que adapto los juegos a nosotros y a Neus. Hace ya un mes y todavia hablamos del gusano valentin....y de Noelia. Repetiremos y se lo recomiendo a todos los niños. Muchas gracias

Pasamos una tarde muy divertida aprendiendo las fases por las que pasa el gusano de seda, desde que es un pequeño huevo hasta convertirse en una maravillosa mariposa. Fue genial competir en los distintos juegos tanto para los niños como para los mayores que los acompañábamos, que volvimos a sentirnos como niños. Noelia estuvo genial explicando las cosas y haciendo los juegos muy amenos (MUCHAS GRACIAS!!).
Una buena forma de pasar la tarde con los peques al aire libre "gusaneando".
Tin tin tin, Gusano Valentín!!!!
Lo pasamos genial en familia y conocimos amigos mientras aprendimos cómo los gusanos hacen la preciosa seda, que forma parte de nuestra historia. Ejercicio al aire libre, pintar, juegos, familia y amigos... ¿qué más se puede pedir? Totalmente recomendable también para los coles porque suelen tener gusanos de seda en clase y está muy bien que los niños aprendan acerca de cómo hacen el tejido.
¡Noelia nos lo hizo muy ameno y nos fuimos todos a casa cantando la canción del gusano Valentín!
