Excursion: eco-friendly oranges experience

Orange is not just a colour, it is also a flavour.  The excursion of the Valencian orange offers to groups the possibility to get closer to the harvest of this citric in different towns of the Comunidad Valenciana.

Where do oranges come from? What is their cultivation and process? How do you guess the treatment of this almost fetish fruit of the Valencian region?

One-day trip to collect  ecological oranges in the town of Villamarchante, just 38 minutes away from Valencis, ideal for families and adults. There are two days available to do this trip, sunday 13th February and saturday 19th February of 2022. Departure is at 10 am and the arrival is at 5 pm of the same day. The meeting point, where you departure and you arrive at the end of the trip, is in th street Las Barcas, 2 in Valencia. Round trip transportation is provided by us and included in the price.

The activities we are going to do are: visit to a native field of oranges, where you will have the chance to learn how the oranges are collected, you will also collect oranges by yourself and moreover,  you will enjoy a  tasting of the field's productos, such as oranges and natural orange juices. You will get the chance to learn about different types of oranges, as well as the way to harvest and collect the oranges from a professional collector. At the end of the recollection, every person has included in the price a  gift of a 5kg mesh of oranges. If you want to take home more oranges you will buy them to the owner directly.

After this, we will have a snack (by your own account) in the recreativity area of la Pedrera. where you will find at your disposal some picnic tables, WC and a bar. We will benefit from the closness to the nature to do a guided walk through the area of the Turia river, passing through the traditional garden of Arab origin and the castle (cultural heritage of the locality).  This walk is done with a professional that will show you the amazing area of the Turia River from the views of the town of Villamarchante.
